EXETER — The Exeter
Hawks were whitewashed 3-
0 Oct. 20 at home against
the Mt. Brydges Bulldogs to
drop their record to 3-6-0.
The Hawks are tied with
Lucan for last in the Morenz
Division with six points.
North Middlesex continues
to lead the Morenz Division
with 16 points and is tied
with Lambeth for first in the
conference.
The two teams are two
points back of Tavistock
which leads the league with
18 points.
Despite the loss, Hawks
coach Art Larivee said the
Hawks played well and are
continuing to improve.
"We have 10 or 11 players
who are first year junior
hockey players. It's going to
take a while to get everyone
on the same page."
Larivee added the Hawks
haven't been able to get both
offence and strong goaltend-
ing on the same nights.
Despite some inconsistent
refereeing, Larivee said the
officiating will sort itself out
over the course of the sea-
son.
"We're all playing with the
same set of rules and the
same refs. That will figure
itself all out."
The Hawks have a pair of
games this weekend with
Lucan visiting Friday night
at 8:30 p.m. before Exeter
visits Lambeth Saturday
night at 7:30 p.m.
