Coach Scott Halpenny said the team needs more games to con- tinue to show improvment and South Huron was in Clinton Oct. 10 playing against St.Annes and Central Huron. South Huron was defeated by St.Annes 25-1 I, 17-25 and 27-25. But the Panthers rebounded against a weak Central Huron team and won 25-17, 25-13 and 25-7 for a record for the day of four wins against two losses. Coach Halpenny said it was a good team effort with strong performances by left side hitters Grant Masse and Troy Elder while Ben Toornstra had many kills from the mid- dle position and Dave Reschke played well as libero providing the team with good passes and solid defence. Bryce Halpenny and Justin Dionne continue to set well for the Panthers. The team played again Tuesday at St. Mary's against St. Mike's and St. Mary's.The Panther's league record now stands at seven wins and eight losses. Halpenny said he is looking forward to injured players Blair Parsons and Tyler Knip returning to the line up and that the squad continues to improve and this week's outing was much better than last weeks. Assists: Kyan Neeb, Jared DenOtter. Coaches Comments: Very close game with a lot of fast end to end play, out- standing defensive game for Chad Dawson turning a lot of the Dorchester offense away. John Baker worked hard with great tenacious forecheck- ing and providing one of the South Huron goals. Kyle Jones added the other on an exciting breakaway that he capitalized on.
