We hear of botox used for cosmetic purposes. It
is also very effective for people that suffer from
sweaty palms and feet. About 5 percent of
Canadians suffer from this frustrating problem.
The botox works by blocking the release of a
chemical that tells the sweat glands to produce sweat.
Cataracts can be picked up on routine eye examinations with your
optometrist. Symptoms of cataracts include cloudy or blurry vision,
colours seem faded, poor night vision, double vision in one eye, or a
halo around lights that may appear too bright. If you haven't had
your eyes checked recently, do it soon.
Our kidneys are amazing organs. Healthy kidneys can filter a litre
of blood every one minute. Kidney disease can be detected through
blood tests. As with many diseases, early detection can halt or slow
the progression. Doctors will check for kidney failure at your annual
physical.
Various nutritional supplements are appearing on the market with
great claims attached to them. One is pomegranate juice. It's true it
contains high levels of antioxidant polyphenols like blueberries,
cranberries and green tea. However, like grapefruit juice it can
interfere with the metabolism of some prescription drugs.

WHY FERTILIZE YOUR LAWN THIS FALL?
A lawn should be fertilized in the spring, summer
and fall, but the fall is probably the most
important time to fertilize lawn grasses. Fall
fertilizing stimulates a lawn to become thick and
strong rather than increasing the top growth.
In the fall, grass plants utilize fertilizer to
manufacture food while, due to the cool
temperatures, other plant processes are slowed
down. Some fertilizer is stored in the plant tissues
to produce a dense, green lawn early in the
spring.
A fall fertilizer supplies a homeowner with more
value for the money spent. More nutrients are
used in the direct maintenance of lawn density
and its green colour. Try a fertilizer application this
fall.
