Trivitt hosting Thanksgiving
Trivitt donates — Trivitt Memorial Anglican Church presented a $5,000 cheque
to South Huron Big Brothers and Big Sisters (SHBBBS) recently, one of many

EXETER — Trivitt
Memorial Anglican
Church is hosting its
Thanksgiving Celebrat-
ion Sunday when
$56,000 will be given to
local organizations.

Joshua Victor Knip and Sarah Lynn Neevel were
united in marriage on June 24, 2006 in the Exeter
Christian Reformed Church. Josh is the son of
Harry and Margaret Knip of Exeter. Sarah is the
daughter of Karen Brand and Richard Neevel of
Exeter. The happy couple would like to thank all
their friends and family who joined on their spe-
cial day.

Christopher Straw and Jennifer Greig along with
their parents Niall and Rosemary and Brian &
Sharon are pleased to announce their upcoming
wedding on Saturday, September 30, 2006. The
wedding will take place at St. James on -the -line
Anglican church in Penetanguishene. The couple
currently resides in Moonstone, Ontario.
Mass will be given by
Franz Schubert.
The preacher is the
Dean of Huron, Rev. Dr.
Ben Chapman.
The bishop of Huron
is also attending the ser-
vice.
A special community
choir, soloists and
orchestra as well as the
Gerald Fagan Singers of
London will entertain
the crowd.
A barbecue chicken
dinner planned by
Pineridge Barbecue will
also be part of the day's
events after the service.
Tickets are $15 for
adults and $5 for chil-
dren between the ages
of six to 12 years old.
Any money raised will
support Huron Habitat
for Humanity.
Hoffman says the
church will also donate
more funding for
Habitat but is unsure of
how much.
There is also a nurs-
ery and children's pro-
gram, keeping the kids
active throughout the
day.

Marriage Announcement
Jim and Suzy Turnbull of Grand Bend and
Janice and the late Stephen Blundell of
London are happy to announce the marriage of
their children Lisa and Jeff
The wedding took place on
June 10, 2006 at Oakwood Resort
The couple resides in Toronto where Lisa is a
Project Manager for the Toronto 65 Pegion
Conservation Authority and Jeff is a Producer
for Discovery Channel Canada.

Crediton, and Mr. and Mrs. William and JoAnn
McLinchey of Beechwood, are thrilled to
announce the forthcoming marriage of their chil-
dren, Lisa Marie and William John. Their wedding
will take place on Saturday, September the 30th
at 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon. Zion United
Church, Crediton. Reception to follow at Ailsa

Lions NASCAR lottery
EXETER — The Exeter Lions are offering a
chance to win NASCAR tickets for the 2007 season
with the "Redneck NASCAR" lottery.
The draw features a chance to win up to 12
NASCAR tickets for four people starting with the
Daytona 500 in February until the final race in
Miami in November.
Seven of the 12 trips include airline and NASCAR
tickets as well as a two-day car
rental and two nights hotel
accommodations for four
people.
The remaining five trips
are drive -to venues includ-
ing the Michigan
International Speedway with feature race tickets
and hotel accommodations for two nights.
Only 500 tickets will be sold with each ticket
$125.
The lottery proceeds will benefit community ser-
vice and trip and ticket information can be obtained
by calling 235 -LION.
POLICE BRIEFS
12 -hour suspension
BLUEWATER — Huron OPP stopped a vehicle on Mill
Road in Bluewater Sept. 15 for a traffic violation. The
officer approached the driver of the vehicle and deter-
mined that the driver had been drinking. The driver was
issued a lawful roadside breath demand, registering a
fail. The driver was arrested and transported to the
Huron detachment where the driver provided two
breath samples, which were analyzed. As a result a 19-
year- old Clinton resident was issued a 12 -hour suspen-
sion and issued a provincial offence notice for being a
G2 driver and driving with more than zero alcohol in his
system.
