Mann has been shooting for two years since his father brought him into the sport. In his second year of competition this past summer, Maim won several competitions including the Great Lakes trap shooting event, the Ontario championship in Hamilton and finished up by winning all nine categories in the sub junior event in Mason, Mich. At the Ontario Championship, held Labour Day weekend in Hamilton, Mann hit 99 out of 100 targets. Of the two types of shooting, Maim said skeet shooting, which has tar- gets coming out of high and low houses at the same time, is harder but more fun. "I just go out and shoot," says Mann of his shooting method. Hensall shooter — Kyle Mann of Hensall displays some of the prizes he won over the summer in trap and skeet shooting competitions. Turnovers ultimately enabled the Soulukis to pull away from a deter- mined Panther squad who rebounded and shot well in the second and third quarters. The final score was 47-42 for St. Marys. It was a great defensive effort by all and great leadership shown by Melissa Smith who led the team with 14 points. Thanks go to to Kendra Windsor and Julia Roberts for their job of scoring.
