Probus Club:
Thanks to the many people who came to our newly
formed Exeter & Area Probus Club to find out
more about what it's about on Aug. 30 at the

on. The steering committee, Ken Agnew, Bob
Evans, Conrad Sitter and myself are pleased it
will go ahead. This is a fun group to belong to,
meeting once a month, a non-profit group, no
ticket selling, no apple pies to make, with no
demands on attendance etc. Grand Bend Rotary Jim Bearss

and 100 Mens Probus. The next meeting is at the
Exeter United Church on Wed., Sept. 27 at 10 a.m.

YOUR COMMUNITY NEEDS YOUR HELP!!
How we Count:
Women Moving Forward! "The first step is belief in
you and taking care of yourself." It is important for
women to make time for themselves so they put their
own needs on an equal footing or ahead of the needs or
wishes of children, family and friends.
There are many negative messages about women in
our culture that women take inside. When things go
wrong, for example when the woman is faced with
poverty, she can fall into the trap of guilt, self blame,
depression, fear anger and despair. "Women get mes-
sages that prompt a `default' negative or self blaming
response."
