Jillian Rose Young, daugh-
ter of Pam (Waters) and
Tom Young, a sister for
Emily and Matthew.
Granton resident Elsie
(Ironside) Dann Jones,
wife of Ron Jones and the
late Gordon Dann, died at
St. Marys Memorial
Hospital on Sun., Aug. 27
in her 99th year. The
funeral was held at the C.
Haskett and Son Funeral
Home in Lucan on Tues.,
Aug. 9 with Pastor Paul
Vollick officiating.
Interment in the Granton
Cemetery.
At the Granton -Wesley
United Church on Sun.,
Sept. 3, Mitchell McBurney
lit the Christ Candle. Lay
Pastor Paul Vollick led the
service and the message
was entitled `Rules of the
Game.' The scripture
lessons were from Mark 7
and James one. The
Ministry of Music was enti-
tled `Shine, Jesus, Shine'
with former organist Gail
Sinclair as accompanist.
The Sunday School reg-
istration will be held next
Sun., Sept. 10.
At St. Paul's Anglican
Church in Kirkton on Sun.,
Sept. 3, Rev. Dalice Sim
celebrated the Holy
Eucharist. The message
was about balancing one's
work with serving God.
The lessons were read by
Carol Herbert.
Congratulations from the
Granton community to
Colleen O'Shea, who was
named the first runner-up
at the 35th annual
Ambassador of the Fairs
competition held at the
Canadian National
Exhibition in Toronto
recently. Colleen was rep-
resenting Western Fair
and spoke on the theme
`Farmers Feed Cities.'

between 3 and 4 p.m., parties entered Jacobs Ladder
on Main Street in Bayfield. Individuals, entering from
the rear of the store stole $1,300 worth of Canada Post
stamps. If you have any information that can assist
police with this investigation call the OPP or CRIME
