TORONTO — Canadian
farmers are inviting chil-
dren to join a club to win
free chocolate milk for a
year.
Parents and their chil-
dren can download the
new Brown Cow Kids Club
activity booklet for free by
visiting www. dairygood-
ness. ca
By completing the activi-
ties within the booklet,
parents and their children
can uncover a secret code
word allowing them entry
into a contest, winning a
year's supply of free
chocolate milk just in time
for the new school year.
The Brown Cow Kids
Club booklet is full of
chocolate milk recipes,
word puzzles and activities
reinforcing the message
that chocolate milk is just
as good for you as white
milk
"As the summer winds
down, kids get antsy, so
parents are always on the
lookout for new and fun
activities," says registered
dietitian Fran Berkoff.
Nutritional analysis
proves chocolate milk is as
nutritious as white milk,
containing the same 15
essential nutrients found
in white milk with no addi-
tional sugar than an equal
amount of unsweetened
orange juice.
The contest is open to
residents of Ontario, New
Brunswick, Nova Scotia
and Prince Edward Island.
The draw date is Sept. 5.
POLICE BRIEFS
OPP investigating fire
SOUTH HURON — Huron OPP are investigating
two Cover all barn fires at 69583 Parr Line in South
Huron. The OPP were on patrol Aug. 13 around 2:30
a.m. when they observed a large orange glow com-
ing from the Credition area. The shed was filled with
bales of straw and hay. The estimated value of loss is
$50,000. If you have any information that can assist
police with this investigation, call the OPP or CRIME
STOPPERS at 1-800-222-8477 (1 -800 -222 -TIPS).
Public helps search
BLUEWATER — Huron OPP are extending their
gratitude and thanks to the volunteers that assisted in
looking for overdue canoeists. On Aug. 8 a Bluewater
resident attended the bridge on Parr Line in
Bluewater and entered the Bayfield River. The father
traveling with his two children, age six and three
departed on what they believed would be a short
excursion expecting to travel quickly to the village of
Bayfield in one to two hours.
Concerned family members contacted Huron OPP as
the canoeists were overdue and had not taken any
food or water. Huron OPP utilized ATV's, bikes and
members on foot, enlisting the assistance of the public
and a private airplane. A search of the Bayfield River
was conducted and a volunteer searcher found the
family. They were returned safely.

able on the website.
