Public calls
three times on
drunk driver
BLUEWATER — The Huron
OPP are commending the public
for observing and taking quick
action after spotting a drunk dri-
ver. On July 30 the Huron OPP
were guided by three separate
calls from the public regarding a
maroon Ford pick-up driving
erratically and dangerously on
Airport Line in Bluewater. The
same vehicle was located and
stopped by members of the Huron
OPP. The driver was arrested for
impaired operation of a motor
vehicle and transported to the
Huron detachment where breath
samples were provided and ana-
lyzed. The driver, a 40 -year-old
woman of Huron Park was found
to have almost three times the
legal limit of 80 mg of alcohol in
her system. She will attend Exeter
Provincial Court Sept. 28, facing
one count of impaired driving,
one count of driving a motor vehi-
cle with more than 80 mg's of
alcohol and one count of driving
with a disqualified licence.

2006 and between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Nomination Day -
September 29, 2006. Faxed or electronic nomination forms
are not permitted. The nomination shall, (a) be in the
prescribed form; (b) be accompanied by a declaration of
qualification in the prescribed form, signed by the person
being nominated; and (c) be accompanied by the prescribed
nomination filing fee. The filing fee of $200 for Head of Council
and $100 for all other offices is payable by cash, certified
cheque or money order. Forms are available from the Clerk.
In the event there are an insufficient number of certified
candidates to fill all positions available, nominations will be
reopened for the vacant positions only on Wednesday October
4, 2006, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and such
additional nominations, if required, may be filed in the office of
the Clerk.
Electors are hereby given notice that if a greater number of
candidates are certified than are required to fill the said
offices, there will be an election.
THE ELECTION METHOD IS "VOTE -BY- MAIL".
