Counterfeit bill in Exeter
EXETER — On Aug. 11 Huron OPP attended a business in Exeter. The business had
received a counterfeit $5 Canadian bill from an unknown patron. The counterfeit Canadian
currency serial number is HNS1020443. Business owners and those handling paper curren-
cy, be aware of what bills you are accepting. Be sure that you inspect them carefully to
ensure that all security features are present. For further information on what to look for,

ATV stolen
BLUEWATER — Sometime between July 24 and July 28 someone stole a grey 2002 Polaris
Sportsman ATV. Thieves entered a shed located on Parr Line in Bluewater. The licence plate
number is 77BX5 and the VIN number is 4XACH68A42A556600.

fry supper at Hensall's
Community Centre.

roll was delicious and
residents also enjoyed
the wheelchair rides
over to the arena on
such a beautiful sunny
day.
In the afternoon
another group of resi-
dents had traveled to
view horse races at the
Clinton Race Track.
Everyone had a great
time picking their
favourites and watch-
ing the action.
Tuesday morning
breakfast group met
over a meal prepared
while they watched.

Swamp area
SOUTH HURON — Due to the
number of complaints and the
growing popularity of ATV enthusi-
asts, the Huron OPP and Ministry
of Natural Resources joined forces
in completing ATV patrols in the
Hay swamp area South Huron over
Civic holiday weekend. Several
ATV's were stopped with a com-
mon violation of having no proof of
insurance or ownership for the
vehicle and as a result these vehi-
cles were impounded until proof of
ownership for the vehicle was
determined. Several charges were
issued.

they had an opportuni-
ty to rekindle old
friendships over a
meal of ham and scal-
loped potatoes.

TOWNSHIP OF LUCAN BIDDULPH
2006 MUNICIPAL ELECTION
NOTICE OF NOMINATION FOR OFFICE
(Municipal Elections Act, 1996 (s.32))
Nominations may be made by completing and filing in the
office of the clerk, nominations in the prescribed form.
A nomination must be signed by the candidate and may be
filed in person or by an agent on any day in the year prior to
September 28th, 2006 at a time when the Clerk's office is
open, or on September 29th, 2006 (Nomination Day) between
the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The prescribed
nomination -filing fee must accompany the nomination form.
The Clerk must certify a nomination before such a person
becomes a certified candidate for the office to which he/she is
nominated.
In the event there are an insufficient number of certified
candidates to fill all positions available, nominations will be
re -opened for the vacant positions only on Wednesday October
4th, 2006 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and
such additional nominations, if required, may be filed in the
office of the Clerk.
If a greater number of candidates are certified than are
required to fill the said offices, voting day will be held
November 13th, 2006. Watch for further details concerning
the 2006 Municipal Election in the near future.

• MAYOR (one to be elected)
• DEPUTY MAYOR (one to be elected)
• COUNCILLOR WARD 1 (one to be elected)

Ward 1 is comprised of all the area in the Township of Lucan
Biddulph lying south and west of King's Highway No.4
(Richmond Street).
Ward 2 is comprised of all the area in the Township of Lucan
Biddulph lying north of the King's Highway No.4 (Richmond
Street) and west of Saintsbury Line.
Ward 3 is comprised of all the area in the Township of Lucan
Biddulph lying north of the King's Highway No.4 (Richmond
Street) and east of Saintsbury Line to the easterly boundaries.
