Adults $12, children $5. Only 300 tickets will be available. Proceeds are for community improve- ments. For tickets phone 519-262-2045 or 519- 262-2207. At Carmel Presbyterian Church Tracy Whitson- Bahro was the minister. Joyce Pepper was the organist with Murray Taylor and Frank Varley receiving the offering. The service closed with benediction. Judith Ritchie lit the Christ can- dle and led in the call to worship responsively. Rev. Judith gave words of welcome and everyone shook hands and sang the Introit. Rev. Judith gave the announcements. Everyone sang the hymn of praise "All Hail the Power of Jesus Name." Rev. Judith lit the red candle for peace and everyone read the open- ing prayer in unison. The Affirmation of Our Faith "A New Creed" was read in unison. The children's hymn "One More Step Along the World I Go" was sung. The Lord's Prayer was repeated in unison. The choir sang "I Will Follow Where He Leadeth" accompanied by the pianist Jean Hodgert. Psalm 48 was read responsively. Rev. Judith read from Mark 6:1-13 and the title of her meditation was "Packing Light". Everyone sang the Hymn "0 Master Let Me Walk With Thee." Gerald Cunnington and Fred Delbridge received the offering. Everyone sang the offertory hymn and read the offertory prayer in unison. Rev. Judith said prayers for the people. The dos- ing hymn "God Be With You Till We Meet Again" was sung. Rev. Judith gave the commissioning and the benediction. Everyone sang the clos- ing chorus. Announcements Rev. Judith's expected hours: Wed. & Thurs. 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. - office hrs at the church until 5 p.m. - expect to be available locally but may not be at the church. Fri. and/or Sat. - "Sermon Prep." Sundays: can be avail- able before church as I come early and available most Sundays after church. During the month of August, Rev. Judith will be on holidays. (photo/submitted) Police Briefs Male arrested for public intoxication EXETER — On June 25 a concerned citizen contacted police regarding a male party passed out at the South Huron Recreation Centre. Huron OPP arrived to find an intoxicated male that had passed out. The officers attempted to assist the male when he became uncooperative. A 24 -year-old male of Exeter was arrested for public intoxication and held overnight and released. He was issued a Provincial offence notice for Public intoxication.
