LUCAN - Lucan
Middlesex OPP officers
were called to the Lucan
Community Memorial
Centre June 30 to assist
with what appeared to be
an intoxicated male at the
baseball diamond. When
officers arrived, the male
had left the field and
started hitch -hiking on
Main Street. During the
investigation, the officers
arrested the male for
breaching conditions of
bail. The 50 -year-old
male from Windsor was
held in custody overnight
for a show cause hearing
held via video court on
July 1, 2006.
Rodeo is coming
Saddle up and get ready to Rodeo! It's the 10th
Annual Exeter Rodeo. Don't miss the excitement at the
South Huron Recreation Centre Aug. 11, 12 and 13.
The A Bar K Rodeo Company will be in town Aug 12-
13 for a show each day at 2 p.m. The wheelchair
accessible show goes rain or shine, so pack an umbrel-
la just in case. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for
children 12 and under and five years and under is $3.
Purchase your tickets at your local TSC Store and save
$3 per person. Tickets will be honoured at our admis-
sion gate.
Exeter has once again been selected as one of the top
10 rodeos in Ontario to be a part of the Dodge Truck
Rodeo Tour. The Dodge Truck Rodeo Tour is fully
sanctioned by the Canadian Cowboy Association. In its
ninth year, the Dodge Rodeo Tour has been growing
rapidly and the Exeter Rodeo has followed this growth,
being one of the largest ones in Ontario and on the
Dodge Tour. Exeter is always a preferred Rodeo loca-
tion among the competitors and fans alike and will
attract some of the top cowboys and cowgirls, offering
them a chance to compete at greater levels and com-
pare their skills against their Western counterparts at
the Dodge Rodeo Tour Championships.
In honour of our 10th anniversary and to celebrate
the life of a dear friend and committed committee
member as well as a lifelong supporter of rodeo, we
will be dedicating and re -naming our rodeo facility to
Dalton Finkbeiner. Fink's ring is the place to be this
weekend! Dedication will take place Sunday during
the show.
Friday evening is free for the family. Everyone is
invited out for a fun -filled evening of Dodge Challenge.
Local teams compete in bale throwing, western relay,
chuckwagon racing and much more. Teams must reg-
ister to participate. For further details and to register,
please call Brian Richardson at 519-235-4399. Come
and cheer on your favourite team! Directly following
the challenge, slide over to the tent, grab a cold bever-
age and enjoy the live entertainment provided by
Randy Satchell & the Boys.

We are excited to announce that during the show on
Saturday, we have a demonstration by the Knights of
Valour. The Knights of Valour capture the very
essence of medieval jousting and bring the middle ages
to life in a spectacular fashion.

load. Check out Bessie in the vendor area on Sunday
at 12:30 p.m. Support the Exeter Adult Day Centre -

Families can enjoy old-fashioned horse drawn hay
rides, prior to and after the show. Catch the excite-
ment, as we welcome trick rider and horse entertainer,
Harvey Earl who will perform during our shows. Back
by popular demand, performances will feature the
Precision Riding Team.
Competitors not in the show will compete for points
in the Slack which will run Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and
Sunday morning from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Recreation
Centre Hall. Everyone welcome!
The 3rd Annual South Huron Trail Run will take
place Sunday morning and is one run in a series of
runs that will take place in several different areas.
The 2 km. run will begin at 9 a.m. and the 8 km. run
will begin at 9:30 a.m. The race will start and end at
the South Huron Recreation Centre and runners will
enjoy the scenic route along the South Huron Trail
(Exeter to Morrison Dam). Get fit and enjoy the experi-

South Huron speeder
SOUTH HURON - Huron OPP were patrolling in full
force over the Canada Day weekend. Officers were
traveling along Dashwood Road in South Huron July 2
when they tracked a vehicle travelling 150km/h in a
posted 90 -km/h zone. A 20 -year-old of South Huron
was issued a summons to appear in Goderich
Provincial court Aug. 17 answering to one charge of
speeding.

We are excited to announce that during the show on
Saturday, we have a demonstration by the Knights of
Valour. The Knights of Valour capture the very
essence of medieval jousting and bring the middle ages
to life in a spectacular fashion.

Families can enjoy old-fashioned horse drawn hay
rides, prior to and after the show. Catch the excite-
ment, as we welcome trick rider and horse entertainer,
Harvey Earl who will perform during our shows. Back
by popular demand, performances will feature the
Precision Riding Team.
Competitors not in the show will compete for points
in the Slack which will run Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and
Sunday morning from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Recreation
Centre Hall. Everyone welcome!
The 3rd Annual South Huron Trail Run will take
place Sunday morning and is one run in a series of
runs that will take place in several different areas.
The 2 km. run will begin at 9 a.m. and the 8 km. run
will begin at 9:30 a.m. The race will start and end at
the South Huron Recreation Centre and runners will
enjoy the scenic route along the South Huron Trail
(Exeter to Morrison Dam). Get fit and enjoy the experi-

South Huron speeder
SOUTH HURON - Huron OPP were patrolling in full
force over the Canada Day weekend. Officers were
traveling along Dashwood Road in South Huron July 2
when they tracked a vehicle travelling 150km/h in a
posted 90 -km/h zone. A 20 -year-old of South Huron
was issued a summons to appear in Goderich
Provincial court Aug. 17 answering to one charge of
speeding.
