By Mary Peterson
CENTRALIA CORRESPONDENT
CENTRALIA - On Sun., July 16, Rev. Michelle
welcomed everyone to worship at Centralia United
Church. Worship was held downstairs
where it was cooler and an enjoyable,
more informal setting.
Judy Mills played several requested hymns on
the piano during the opening hymn sing. Rev.
Michelle thanked Judy for sharing her musical
gifts as pianist during worship.
Rev. Michelle invited the children to the front,
and they spoke about summer vacation. She
showed the children several newspaper clippings
about areas of the world where people were deal-
ing with wars. She asked the children to remem-
ber these people during the week and pray for
them.
The Gospel lesson was from Mark 6:1-13. Rev.
Michelle followed this with her reflection entitled
"Home Sweet Home - Do You
Believe It?"
There were several announce-
ments that followed.
Warm birthday wishes to Brent Caslick and
Madalene Tasko on their upcoming birthdays!
Combined worship continues throughout July for
congregation members at Centralia and Zion West
United Churches. Worship will be held at 10 a.m.
at Zion West on 23rd and at Centralia United
