Coaches comments: Team played very well, they showed more team play. Purple July Purple 3 versus Red 1 Goals: Brian Hope (3) Coaches comments: Excellent game played by all. Big thank -you to the Red team for allowing us to use a sub when we were short two players. Good running offense work and defensive plays when required. Alicia came very close to scoring her first goal of the season. Taylor, Laura and Jasmine played excellent. Brian worked hard for all three goals. Good defensive plays by Mitchel to keep the goals down. Big thank -you to Morgan for filling in net when we were short players. Red 1 versus Purple 3 Goal: Lucas Kaumanns Play of the game: Aidon Baker had a penalty kick that was just wide. Coaches comments: Our first loss but very well played. Red June 29 Red 5 versus Orange 0 Coaches comments: Great game played by all with Dominique Baker and Madison Livermore with two great efforts. Royal Blue 1 versus Green 5 Goal: Nathan King Coaches comments: Nathan King, Halley Richardson, Jacquelyn Hern and Adam Doupe all played great. u U9 Gold July 6 Gold 0 versus North Middlesex 7 Coaches comments: Exeter never stopped trying. Having only seven players meant everyone played the entire game with no substitutions. Everyone really gave it their all. Once again passing was key for the goals. Keep it up ■ and have fun! Excellent throw- ins and corner kicks. Everyone gave 100 per cent and played an excellent game - great job! Future games: July 13 at the high school. U11 U11 Boys Exeter #1 1-1 tie Goal: Taylor Bilcke Goalies: Blake Gower, Ryan Smillie Coaches comments: Awesome game tonight. Excellent passing and ball control. Good teamwork. Keep up the great work. Great game By Barb Alter. Future games: July 13 at Nabisco U11 Girls July 6 Exeter 0 @ Parkhill 5 Comments: The Lightning played their best game of the year so far. The team played the first half short three players and the second half were short two players. The score was 1-0 after half and the team ran out of gas to let Parkhill score four late goals. Excellent effort by all nine girls!! U13 Boys U13 Boys Exeter #1 July 4 Exeter 1 versus Coldstream 6 Goal: Jeff Stire Assists: Corey Davidson, Stephen Boersma Coaches comments: An excellent second half by South Huron. We settled in to match Coldstream for effort with good scoring opportunities. An especially good game by Max Carter and Shawn Burtch. U13 Boys LDYSL Exeter 2 versus Simcoe 1 Coaches comments: This was a great result. The boys went down to Simcoe after having suffered a heavy defeat in Exeter against Simcoe the previous week and real- ly dug deep to pull off this great victory. Way to go boys... Let's keep focused on the next games and keep building on what you are doing. U16 Boy 1116 Boys #2 Thunder July 7 Exeter 10 versus Strathroy #1 0 Goals: Brett (4), Dylan (2), Kevin (2), Jordan, Alex Coaches comments: Our boys definitely dominated the field with great passes and teamwork. U18 Girls 1118 Girls #2 Exeter 5 versus West Lorne 3 Goals: Keri Reschke (2), Julie Moore, Katherine Vanhie and Carly Schroeder. Goalie: Kaitlyn Love played excellent in net. Coaches comments: These girls definitely came out to win this game. With only 11 girls and a very strong and aggressive West Lorne team our girls fought the whole game. All the girls played amazing. An excellent defensive game played by Lindsay Hayter, Tiffany Hern, Miriam Veldman, Lindsay Mills, Caroline Moore, and Sandra Gregus Great Game Girls!
