Crediton wins two games
CREDITON - The Crediton
Laurmart Juniors/
Intermediates had another
successful week winning both
games by big scores.
The team should
be commended for
playing with only
nine players in both
games. These wins
puts Crediton in first
place with the most
games won in the
tri -county league.
Crediton 14
versus Strathroy

was powerful with a homerun
and two singles. Nikki Cyr
added a triple and two singles
with Kehl Fulton replying
with two doubles and a single
hit. Kerri Fulton had
some beauty hits with
a long triple and two
singles with a double
and two single hits
from the bat of Cathy
Conlin. Katie Glavin
added a double and
single hit with a single
hit from the bat of
Janelle Dykstra.
Marianne Scott
pitched a strong game
for Crediton.
Notable plays for
Crediton were Nikki
Cyr's and Kerri
Fulton's double play
and Fulton's tough
catch and double play
on first base.

Intermediates 8
Crediton jumped on
the scoreboard early
in its game against
Ilderton scoring twelve runs
Kerri
Crediton jumped on the
scoreboard early in the first
inning after allowing its oppo-
nents to score two runs of
their own.
Crediton only allowed
Strathroy to score one more
run throughout the whole
game. The home squad mer-
cied the competition by a
score of 14-3 in six innings.
Julie Prout led her team at
the plate with two doubles
and two singles. Angie Gould
pounded out three doubles
while Marianne Scott's bat
Fulton
in the first three innings and
then had some problems with
the new pitcher's change -up
pitch.
Ilderton tried to fight back
scoring runs in the fourth
inning to stop a mercy and
then inching its way back
each inning after that.
Kerri Fulton in the clean-up
position was very strong with
two doubles and a single.
Angie Gould pounded out a
long triple and added two sin-
gle hits while Cathy Conlin in
the lead-off position bunted
with perfection adding a dou-
ble and two singles. Katie
Glavin pounded out a double
and single hit while
two singles hits
apiece came from
the bats of Julie
Prout, Kelli Fulton
and Marianne Scott.
Scott pitched
strong back to back
full games for
Crediton along with
some outstanding
defensive plays.
