Riding for Alzheimer's disease
On June 24 the first Forget -Me -Not Biker Poker Rally was held in Huron County. The day
brought out 64 bikers who raised $4,250 to support the Alzheimer Society of Huron
County.The route consisted of a scenic ride through Huron County with stops in Exeter,
Goderich,Wingham, Seaforth and Clinton.The Alzheimer Society thanks organizers for

Flower Show on Mon.,July 24

HENSALL – The Hensall Community
Development Action Committee and the
Hensall Fire Department will
be presenting an "all you can
eat" fish fry on Sun., Aug. 13
from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hensall
arena. Adults $12, children $5. Only 300
tickets will be available. Proceeds are for
community improvements. For tickets

On Sun., July 9, a meeting will be held
following church. Hensall United Church
will be closed during the month of July. A

Presbyterian Church.

friends of Jerry Moffatt and also with the
Cook family on the passing of Dr Norma.

Volunteers needed to run
new sound system

THAMES ROAD — Jean Hodgert
played the organ before the
church service commenced on
Sunday morning.
Ola Batten lit the Christ candle.
Rev. Judith Ritchie was in charge
of the Call to Worship responsive-
ly. Rev. Judith gave words of wel-
come and everyone shook hands.
The Introit was sung and Rev.
Judith gave the announcements.
Everyone sang the Hymn of
Praise "All Glory Laud and
Honour", and Rev. Judith lit the
Red Candle for Peace.
Everyone read the opening
prayer from 404 in Voices United
in unison.
Everyone read Affirmation of
Faith "A New Creed" in unison.
The children's hymn "It only
Takes a Spark" was sung and the
Lord's Prayer was
repeated in uni-
son.
The choir sang 'What a Day
That Will Be" accompanied by
the organist Jean Hodgert. Psalm
20 was read responsively.
Rev. Judith read the Hebrew
Scripture 1 Samuel 15:34-16:13
and the title of her Meditation
"Heart of a Child".
Everyone sang "Jesus, Friend of
Little Children". Joan Skinner
gave a Minute for Mission, enti-
tled "Changing Everything".
Helen Kadey and Joan Morgan
received the offering and Joan
Skinner brought an item forward
for the Food Bank. Everyone
sang the offertory hymn. The
closing hymn "Sing A Happy
Hallelujah" was sung followed by
"0 Canada".
Rev. Judith gave the
Commissioning and the
Benediction.
Everyone sang the closing cho-
rus and went downstairs where
everyone enjoyed cake, cupcakes
and iced tea provided by Rev.
Judith and many thanks.

ling a distance, please call first.
Volunteers are still needed to
run the new sound system.
The church now has four hear-
ing assisted units for the sound
system. Contact Robert Bray or
Judith Parker if you are interest-
ed in using one of the units.

in Miami, Florida last week after
visiting with her parents Gerry
and Elda Riehl.
On Thursday, Harry and Tonya
Bucsh of Richmond Hill, Jackie

five days. They are staying at the
Y.M.C.A.
Bill and Rhoda Rohde attended
the fifth birthday party on Friday
evening for Kaylee Geiger at her
parents Ben and. Karen Geiger's
home on the Parr Line. Her birth-
day is July 1. Happy Birthday
Kaylee.
