Back to medieval times at Exeter Public Agriculture is theme of next WI meeting
On June 13 grades 3/4 and 4/5 at Exeter Public School
took part in a Medieval Day.The students divided into
ladies and lords and each created their own name and
role for the day.The students then created a biography
for their character. The students had fun learning to
write calligraphy, baking, needlework and embroidering,
jousting and other competitive games, medieval dancing,
playing chess, checkers and even juggling. The students
also took part in a medieval feast and ended the day by
watching a medieval movie. Grades 3/4 and 4/5 have
been taking part in this special day at Exeter Public for a
number of years.Above left back is Johnathon Upshall,
Nathan Runhart, Ryan Smillie, Denver Homuth,Tlora
Allsopp posing in their Medieval costumes. In front is a
group of students practising calligraphy:Alyssa Keller,

Some medications can cause disturbances in
taste. Some sleeping pills, blood pressure
medication can cause a metallic, sweet or salty
taste in the mouth. Other medications can cause
dry mouth, which also has an effect on taste. We'II try to tell you if
your medication might be the cause.
How old is Dr. Scholl? It was away back in 1904 that he patented
his special arch support and a few years later he introduced his
famous corn, callus and bunion pads to help relieve sore feet. The
rest, as they say, is history.
When giving a child some bad -tasting medication, try giving a bit
of ice cream first. The cold numbs the taste buds and the bad taste
is not as noticeable.
The world of vitamin products can be confusing. Labels often
contain words like Forte, Ultra, High Potency, Plus, Max and Mega.
Sometimes you may get too much of some vitamins and minerals
This not necessarily a good thing. Too much Vitamin A zinc iron can
be detrimental to good health.

BASEMENT ENTRY CRAFTSMAN Plan No. 2-3-726 This two-storey, three-bedroom family home features a ground -floor entrance, but it's the second
floor that contains most of the living area. Downstairs, there's space for a den, three-piece bath and rec room, space that one day might serve as an in-
law suite or studio. Upstairs, the great room, dining area and kitchen flow into one another. The kitchen is adjacent to the dining area, so serving meals
is a matter of just a few steps. The U-shaped counter configuration promises efficiency, while the raised eating bar provides a spot for snacks and
casual meals. A pantry offers extra storage. The great room's fireplace, flanked by built-in entertainment units, will make this a favourite gathering place
for family and guests on cooler days and evenings. French doors provide access to a sundeck that overlooks the front garden, perfect for al fresco
dining and warm -weather relaxation. The master suite boasts a spacious walk-in closet, as well as an ensuite with a shower. The second and third
bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub and a linen cupboard. At the back of the home is a small covered porch that overlooks the back garden. The
laundry room is downstairs, along with a den that overlooks a small veranda. The den would make an ideal home office, since business visitors would
not have to intrude in the rest of the house. A coat closet is positioned at the back of the foyer. A double garage completes the ground -floor plan.
Exterior finishes include decorative shingles and bracing in the front gable, as well as board -and -batten siding and painted trim. This home measures
38 feet wide and 48 feet deep, for a total of 1,245 square feet. Plans for design 2-3-726 are available for $476 (set of 5), $542 (set of 8) and $584 for a
super set of 10. B.C. residents add 7% Prov. Sales Tax. Also add $25.00 for Priority courier charges within B.C. or $45.00 outside of B.C. Please add
7% G.S.T. or 15% H.S.T. (where applicable) to both the plan price and postage charges. Our NEW 38th Edition of the Home Plan Catalogue containing
over 300 plans is available for $13.50 (includes taxes, postage and handling). Make all cheques and money orders payable to "Home Plan of the Week"
