the week ending Oct 21
Total receipts
4362 head of cattle, 313 lambs and
goats.
Summary
Tuesday: The fed steers and heifers
sold at prices steady to last week.
Choice steers and heifers sold 91.00 to
97.00 sales to 103.00, 2nd cut steers and
heifers sold 87.00 to 91.00. The cows
sold at prices $2.00- $3.00 lower.
Thursday: The veal sold on an active
trade with prices $2.00 to $5.00 lower.
The lambs also sold on an active trade
with prices remaining steady.
Friday: All weights and classes of
stockers sold on a steady market.
Steers There were 840 steers on offer.
Liz McFalls Feedlot, Parkhill consigned
one limo steer weighing 1360 lbs which
sold for 103.00. The overall offering of
five steers averaged 1434 lbs selling for
an average price of 93.48.
Thirty-five steers consigned by Bill
Kerslake, Staffa averaged 1484 lbs sell-
ing for an average price of 96.22 with his
top four limo steers averaging 1465 lbs
selling for 101.50.

DENFIELD - The market at Denfield Livestock
traded on a good demand at higher prices on the
good and fancy fed cattle. A good offering of cows
traded steady. Holstein bull calves steady to
stronger. Sows and boars were higher. Bod
Hodgins, Lucan sold nine steers average weight
1398, average price 102.53 to a high of 105.25 pur-
chased by Norval Meats. Peter Hodgins, Lucan sold
4 steers average weight 1324 average price 94.53.
Claire and Kevin Schwartz, Crediton sold 16
heifers average weight 1246, average price 94.13 to
a high of 98.25. Dave Anderson, Thedford sold 7
