Irish doubled by Mitchell Hawks
LUCAN — The Lucan
Irish dropped a pair of
losses last week against
West Lorne and Mitchell
before rebounding for a 7-
3 win over Belmont Oct.
22.
After a 4-1 loss in West
Lorne Oct. 17 the Irish fell
behind early against the
visiting Mitchell Hawks
and weren't able to recov-
er Oct. 19 as the Hawks
came away with a 6-3
win.
The Irish were down 3-2
at the end of one period
with Bob Martin and
Tanner McIntosh supply-
ing the offence.
But two goals from
Mitchell's Ryan Arbathnot
and one from Steve
Henderson left the visitors
with a lead they wouldn't
surrender.
The Hawks added two
more in the second period
with Arbathnot complet-
ing his hat trick and Kevin
Baetz adding another.
Martin got Lucan close
again in the third but the
Hawks sealed the win late
in the period for the 6-3
win.
Lucan was outshot 30-
27 by the visitors.
Mt. Brydges visits Lucan
tonight (Wednesday) at
7:45.
The Irish are in West
Lorne Oct. 31 at 8:15 p.m.
