Born in Guernsey Channel Islands, October 19, 1912. Beloved wife of the late William John Allister (1984). Loved mother of Frank and Carol Allister of Grand Bend. Loving grandma of Janet and Hank Arnold of Lucan, Kathy and Ed Thoonen of Ilderton, Linda and Greg Meadows of Warren, Michigan and great -grandma of Jessica and Hannah Arnold, Melissa, Madison and Allison Meadows. Remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families and her many cousins in Guernsey. Predeceased by sis- ters Ellen King, Olive McAteer, brothers Nick, Lawrence and Jack Gallienne. Beloved husband of Edna (Bayley) Sims for 52 years. Loving father of Lori Sims and her husband Paul D'Auvergne of Oakville, Jane Sims and her hus- band Chris Harvey of London, and Bob Sims of Exeter and his friend Brenda Siemon of Dublin. Predeceased by his son Steven (2002). Dear grandpa of Trevor and Calvin Sims of Stratford, William and Emma Harvey of London and James Siemon of Brodhagen. Dear brother of Audrey Bently of Exeter. Lovingly remembered by Lisa Pollock of Toronto and her chil- dren Lucas and Jaimie. Predeceased by his mother Gladys Sims (2005), his father William Sims (1959) and sister Labelle Schmetzer (2004). Born William Evan Sims on December 27, 1927 in Exeter, Evan lived almost all his life on a family farm at Hurondale in Usbome Township. He loved farming and for 20 years was a custodian at South Huron District High School. He cher- ished above all else, his family and his many friends. Friends called at the Hopper Hockey Funeral Home, Exeter. The funeral service was held at Trivitt Memorial Anglican Church, Exeter on October 18, 2005. The Rev. Father Bill Ward officiated. Cremation with interment Exeter Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Big Brothers/Big Sisters would be appreciated by the family.
