Speeding charge
HURON — On Sept. 5 an officer
was conducting radar enforcement
on Thames Road in South Huron.
The officer spotted a motorcycle
and locked in the speed on radar at
240 km/h in a 90 km/h zone. The
officer was unable to stop the vehi-
cle due to contour of the roadway
and traffic. The officer called the
Perth unit who came across the
black Yamaha. A 34 -year-old man
from Stratford is charged with
speeding in Perth and also 150
km/h over the speed limit in Huron.
He will attend court on Oct. 20.
Failing to stop
HENSALL — A bus company con-
tacted Huron OPP on Sept. 7 over an
incident in which a driver failed to
stop for a stopped school bus. The
incident occurred on Airport Line in
South Huron on Sept. 6. A school
bus driver had stopped on the road-
way with lights flashing and the stop
arm activated. The bus driver was
able to obtain the plate number of
the green Ford Taurus. As a result,
a 53 -year-old woman from
Goderich has been charged with
failing to stop for a school bus. She
will attend court in Goderich on
Nov. 17.
