By Rhoda Rohde
THAMES ROAD CORRESPONDENT
THAMES ROAD —
Dave Williams was in
charge of the 17th
Sunday after Pentecost
church service on Sunday
morning. A new Introit
was sung and Williams lit
the Christ candle.
Williams
welcomed THAMES
everyone
and people shook hands.
He gave the announce-
ments and led in the Call
to Worship. The gather-
ing hymn, "Come In,
Come In and Sit Down,"
was sung.
Williams led in the
gathering prayer and
prayer of forgiveness.
Everyone repeated
"Assurance of God's
Grace and Forgiveness"
and read "A New Creed."
The children's hymn was,
"I'm Gonna Live So God
Can Use Me," and
Williams read a story
entitled "Garbage."
The choir sang, "Each
Step I Take" accompa-
nied by organist Jean
Hodgert. The responsive
reading was Exodus
15:10-11, 20-21. Williams
read the Scripture,
Matthew 18:21-35 and
the title of his sermon
was "Whose Counting?".
Dennis and Sandra
Rowe received the offer-
ing. Everyone sang the
closing hymn, "We are
Pilgrims" and Williams
said the Commissioning
and gave the Benediction.
Everyone sang the closing
chorus.

If you are trying to lose weight, you might try
simply recording what you eat each day in a
food diary. Also record the amount of exercise
you do to expend the energy in the food. This
can be quite an amazing process and will sometimes motivate
people to eat less and exercise more.
Immunization does work. Compared to the deadly effects of the
diseases that vaccines can prevent, the rare mild side effects of
immunization pale by comparison.
Measles deaths throughout the world have been reduced by
almost 40% between 1999 and 2003. Measles deaths are almost
unheard of in the developed world. The majority of deaths occur in
Africa and the World Health Organization is being very aggressive
to reduce deaths in this area by 50% by the end of this year.
Itching in the rectal area can be quite uncomfortable. You might
try an over-the-counter cream containing low hydrocortisone.
Usually it will stop the itch right away. Don't overuse products like
this because it could result in thinning the mucus membrane of the
rectal area.
