BlythThreshers Reunion enjoyed by Queensway residents
HENSALL - Queensway mens group traveled to the
Huron Pioneer Threshers Reunion in Blyth on Friday.
This was the 44th year for the show and some of
Queensways mens group had been involved with the
show in years past so it was especially nice for them to
have the opportunity to reconnect with old friends. A
picnic lunch followed by Threshing demonstrations,
Border Collie demonstrations, numerous antique dis-
plays, craft displays and of course wonderful old tyme
music made for a very enjoyable day. Thanks go to
auxiliary volunteers Edna Deitz and Lillian Beer who
assisted program staff on the outing.
Volunteer auxiliary members met Tuesday morning
and items on the agenda were the upcoming Alzheimer
coffee break day, Wed., Sept. 21, family thanksgiving

HENSALL — Morning worship at Hensall United
Church began with an organ prelude, welcome and
announcements. The passing of the peace was fol-
lowed by the call to worship.
The Christ candle was lit by Lucielle Beer. Beer
also was the reader. Agnes Bray played the organ
with Dorothy Corbett welcoming everyone. Beer and
Kay Mock looked after the ushering duties.
Irene Richardson was the guest minister. Her ser-
mon was "Be Still and Know." The epistle reading
was from Romans. The gospel reading was from
Matthew.
Flowers in the sanctuary were from the family of
the late Robert Rowcliffe. The sympathy of the com-
munity is extended to the Rowciffe family.
At Carmel Presbyterian Church, Tracy Whitson-
Bahro was the minister with Joyce Pepper playing
the organ. Whitson-Bahro's sermon was "The Bells
of Forgiveness." The offering was received by Harry
Smith. The service ended with benediction and
choral amen.
