Sunshine Girls
40th get-together
By Audrey McRoberts
SOUTH HURON — On Aug. 24 the Sunshine Girls met
for their annual get-together at the home of Marion
Creery, Sunshine Line, Municipality of South Huron.
This was the former home of Clarence and Ruth
Fletcher, so their three granddaughters—Margaret
Watt, Marion Smith and Marilyn Pritchard—relived
their childhood at this farmhouse. Their daughter
Audrey McRoberts and niece Norma Hooper did some
reminiscing as well.
After a delicious potluck luncheon and talking over
former gatherings and remembering those no longer
with the group (Mildred Crago, Elva Routly, Vinetta
Hogg, Ella Somers, Agnes Lamond, Louise Creery,
Helen Kenrick, Greta Gibson and Marjorie Hodgert) a
hearty vote of thanks was extended to the hostess of the
day, Patricia Ann (Creery) Vigeant, bringing a memo-
rable afternoon to a close.
