She arrived June 21st, 2005 at 11:45 in the morn- ing weighing in at 7 lbs. 1 oz. and 20 inches in length. Despite her mommy having a rough time, she is thriving and now tips the scale at more than twelve pounds! Proud parents, David and Marcie are settled into their new home in Cambridge and Meghan is glad to be that much closer to Grandma and "Grumpa" Schwindt! Beloved wife of the late John Ellwood (1970). Dear mother of Bob Ellwood (Betty) of St. Catharines and Don Ellwood (Sue) of Ottawa. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter Carolyn (1936), brother Jack Mitchell and his wife Isabell. Friends may call at the Hopper Hockey Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held on Wednesday, September 7th at 11 a.m. with Rev. Condolences may be forwarded through www.hopper- hockeyth.com (36) WATSON ( NEE HAWKINS) - Clara Watson, peacefully with her family at her side passed away on August 25, 2005 at St. Marys Memorial Hospital three days from her 89th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Earl Watson (1995). Cherished mother of Albert and Ruth of Florida, Sheila and Paul McNaughton of St. Marys, Lucille and Reg McCurdy of Woodham, Vesta and Bob Marshall of Strathroy and Jim and Betty of Stoney Creek. Proud grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 19. Dear sister of Mary Robertson of Seaforth and sis- ter-in-law of Doris Hawkins of London. Predeceased by her sister Vera and husband Roly Huffman, brothers Eldon, Roy and wife Mary, Harry and wives Irene and Ruth, twin brother Clarence and wife Marjorie, Stanley and wife Maly -Jane and brothers-in-law Angus Robertson and Clayton and wife Edna Watson. Clara was a member of Eastern Star Exeter Chapter #222 and Omar Temple #111 Daughters of the Nile O.E.S., P.D.D.G.M . of District #5. Leader of the Kirkton 4-H Club for over 25 years, long-time member of Kirkton United Church, serv- ing faithfully with the Kirkton Women's Institute. Clara enjoyed tickling the ivories and working at her sewing machine. Family and friends were received at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, St. Marys with the Easter Star Service held on August 27th. The Funeral Service was held on August 31, 2005. Interment in Kirkton Union Cemetery. (36) 102 Deaths HERN - Clayton Archie Phm.,B. passed away peace- fully at Extended Care in Port Hope on August 29th in his 100th year. Uncle to Norma Gottesman (Harry), London; Betty Meta (Cliff), Kendal; Carolyn Atkinson (Jim), London; Helen Hern, Toronto; Ruth Vance (Eric), Florida; Ross Hern, Stratford; John Hern, London; Hazel Rooney, Guelph. He is also a great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Hern (Lawler), brother of the late Arnold, Grant and Frank and brother-in-law to Rita Hern. Clayton attended St. Marys D.C.V.I., and at 17 years of age, attended Normal School in Stratford. After teaching for one year, he attended Toronto University and grad- uated in 1930 with a pharma- cy degree. He was district Supervisor with Tamblyn Pharmacy Ltd. in Toronto for close to 40 years. Rested at the L.A. Ball Funeral Chapel, 7 Water St. N. St. Marys on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 where the funeral service was held at 1:00 pm., Rev. Shannon Tennant officiated. Interment followed in St. Marys Cemetery. In his memory donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
