LUCAN — The first
annual Family Fun Fest is
tonight in Lucan.
"Everyone's invited and
it's completely free for the
whole family," says
Minister Steve Welham of
the Living Hope Church in
Lucan, formly known as
the Lucan Christian
Centre.
"We really wanted to
give something back to the
community and let every-
one know we appreciate
them. There's absolutely
no catch, just fun," says
Welham.
The Family Fun Fest
activities begin at 4:30
p.m and end at 8:30 p.m.
The evening includes a
meal, a draw, entertain-
ment and games.
Hot dogs, hamburgers
and pop will be served.
The draw prizes include
an iPod, a DVD player, a
bike, a $40 gift certificate
for Lucan's Wilberforce
Inn and much more.
A live band from the
Glad Tidings Assembly

entertain the crowd.
"There is something for
everyone, including jump-

says Welham.
"We're very excited, it
should be a great night."

Now that we are a week
into September and school
is about to start we should
be watching out for school
buses stopping. Many of
the youth from the Varna
area are heading off in dif-
ferent directions either
into public school, high
school or college or uni-

Good luck to all youth in
