The weather was picture perfect for Sunday's South
Huron Trail Run in Exeter. One hundred and sixty-
six people took part in the 2 km fun run or the 8 km
run. Participants started the event at the South
Huron Rec Centre and raised $3,000 to help with
the upkeep of our beautiful trail system. The South
Huron Trail Run is part of the RunPiker Series which
takes place across southern Ontario every year.
Grand Bend will host the next run Oct, 16.

THE FOLLOWING RECIPE IS ONE I HAVE HAD FOR A LONG
TIME AND IT IS EASY TO MAKE, DELICIOUS TO EAT, GREAT TO
FREEZE AHEAD AND WELL ADAPTED TO PERSONAL LIKES.
INDIVIDUAL CHEESECAKES
2 8 -oz pkgs. cream cheese
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
I tsp lemon juice
I tsp vanilla extract
Christie's vanilla wafers
Beat first 5 ingredients together till light and fluffy. Place
vanilla wafers in paper -lined muffin tins and then spoon the
batter on top of wafer, leaving 1/4 inch or so at top. Bake at
375 degrees for 15-20 minutes till set. Cool and top with
cherry pie filling or a filling of your choice just before serving.
Can be frozen without topping if desired. Store in fridge.
It makes about 32 mini cakes. Great tasting and fun to serve!

Guest minister in Hensall

HENSALL CORRESPONDENT
HENSALL — At Hensall United Church, Rev. Ray
Hagerman was the guest minister. Rev.
Hagerman's message was "Dreaming Dreams of
Faith."
Madison Havercamp, daughter of Kim and
Bryan, received the Rites of Baptism. Janice
Alderdice assisted with the ceremony.
The organist was Chuck Mallette with Ken Elder
greeting the people and Gary and Judy Kyle
receiving the offering.
Les Hills read the Scripture lesson with Mona
Alderdice lighting the Christ candle. The service
ended with benediction and choral amen.
