Zurich Peewees split games
ZURICH — In a rain
delayed game July 26, the
Zurich Pewees played a
tight game against
Usborne.
Starting pitcher Becca
Skinner was relieved by
Jessie Geoffrey in the sec-
ond.
Geoffrey shut down the
Usborne bats allowing
only two runs and struck
out 10.
Hitting singles for Zurich
were Jaemi Douglas,
Brittany Grenier and
Geoffrey.
Geoffrey added a triple
and Kelsey Oke laid down
a great bunt making it to
third base.
Zurich crossed the plate
six times but the game

visited Zurich.
The visitors jumped on
the scoreboard first but
Zurich answered back
quickly.
Singles were hit by
Taelor Douglas with two
and one each from J.
Douglas and Kristena
Hendrick.
Belting out doubles were
Skinner with two and
Geoffrey.
Skinner started the
game and struck out five
while walking eight oppo-
nents.
Reliever T. Douglas
notched two strikeouts.
The game ended 18-7 for
Zurich.
Zurich has two league
games to play, including
Stanley at Zurich August
3 at 7 p.m, before heading
to Cromarty Aug. 5-6 for
the playoff tournament
ending the season.
