The Introit was sung and Dave lit the Christ Candle and people passed the Peace by shaking hands. Dave gave the announcements and led in the Call to Worship responsively. The Gathering Hymn "Teach Me God To Wonder" was sung. Dave gave the Prayer of Gathering and Confession. The Hymn for the Young of Heart "God Of The Sparrow" was sung and told the story "The Potential Of People" which was very interesting. The choir sang "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" with Fred Delbridge, Murray Dawson, Bruce Delbridge and Bill Rohde singing one verse accompanied by the organist Marilyn Vandenbussche. Psalm 139: verses 1-12, 23, 24 was read respon- sively. Dave read from Genesis 28:10-19a, and the title of this Meditation was "The Inukshuk Message". The Hymn of Praise "Jesus You Have Come To The Lakeshore" was sung. Chris & Jayne Rowcliffe received the offering. The closing Hymn " We Shall Go Out With Hope Of Resurrection" was sung. Dave gave the Commissioning and pro- nounced the Benediction. Everyone sang the dos- ing chorus. Announcements July 21st U.C.W. Special Event. Dinner & Theater at Blyth. July 31st The worship service "An Observer Service", will be led by the outreach & worship com- mittees followed by a hot dog BBQ lunch at 11:20 a.m. sponsored by the joint needs assessment committee Beginning at 12:02 p.m. there is a con- gregational workshop. The joint needs assessment committee is asking for everyone's participation and input into what type of ministry will meet their needs. There will be a pre- sentation followed by dis- cussion groups to gather the information required for developing the joint needs assessment report. Sept. 10th The finance committee is planning the 2nd annual golf & BBQ fund raiser at the Exeter Golf Course. $40.00 includes green fees and all you can eat BBQ. BBQ only $15.00.
