GRAND BEND — Most of
us have a sweet tooth
when it comes to desserts
but Shawn Wright has the
sweetest tooth of all.
Wright oohs and aahs
over Sara Lee and her
delectable creations in
one of 30 numbers fea-
tured in the musical trib-
ute The World Goes
'Round.
Over four decades, the
songwriting team of John
Kander and Fred Ebb
composed giant Broadway
hits like: Cabaret, Chicago,
Funny Lady, Zorba, Kiss
of the Spider Woman and
New York, New York.
In this production the
audience gets to hear all
five cast members belt out
the tunes accompanied by
Stephen Woodjetts on the
piano.
There is so much to
enjoy in this show includ-
ing Marianne McCord
singing, "I have coffee in
the morning, brandy in
the evening and Arthur in
the afternoon." Arthur
happens to be a hand-
some stud who will gladly
service clients for a fee.
Stephanie Roth and
Rebecca Poff are hilarious
as two down-and-out
ladies who drink beer and
sing about what became
of class. At one point
Roth scratches her behind
and picks her teeth, real
signs of a class act!
Early in the show, the
entire company sings
about Coffee in a
Cardboard Cup. There's a
Canadian spin, the coffee
cups are from Tim
Hortons. As the song con-
tinues, more coffee is con-
sumed and the cast gets a
bad case of the shakes. In
the end, one performer is
holding a giant -sized Tim

In Me and My Baby the
cast carries out precious
cargo wrapped in colour-
ful baby blankets. I won't
say anything more, other
than this number has a
clever spin!
Overall, the company
presents an exceptional
show of singing, dancing

skating comes into play!
