Zurich jumped on the scoreboard gaining two runs in the first inning by Emily Ainslie and Kristena Hendrick. Varna answered with three runs in the bottom, added two in the third and three in the fourth jumping to eight runs. Zurich battled back in the fourth adding three runs on singles by Katelynn Schade, Taelor Douglas and Jaemi Douglas moving Cheryl Regier and Courtney Campbell across the plate. Adding singles in the fifth were Jessie Geoffrey and Schade in the fifth but the game ended 8-5 for Stanley. Geoffrey started on the mound for Zurich and was relieved by Schade and game closer Taelor Douglas. Zurich travelled to Listowel July 5 meeting Listowel 2. Zurich bats came alive in the third and six runs were added from singles by T. Douglas, Melanie Hunt, and a triple by Schade. In the fifth Hunt started off the last rally with a double, and walks received by Danielle Daters, Jenna Beierling, and Schade all scored bringing Zurich to 12 runs against the home team. Jaemi Douglas pitched a strong game allowing two runs and striking out eight. Schade closed the game in the fifth notching two strikeouts to end the game after five runs crossed the plate bringing the final score to 12-7 for Zurich. Zurich put together a rally in the third inning, scoring four runs on six straight hits. However, Exeter responded with five runs in the bottom half of the inning for a 6-4 lead and held onto a 10-5 victory. On July 17, Zurich host- ed the Atwood Avengers looking to break their three game losing streak. Zurich grabbed an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. Justin LaPorte tripled home Finkbeiner for the first run and Craig Skinner then singled home LaPorte. In the fourth inning, Atwood tied the game 2-2. The pitchers battled throughout the night and it wasn't until extra innings that Zurich finally scored for a 3-2 victory. Dennis Gower, Joe Clifford and Dwayne LaPorte all pitched well for the Rangers to lead them to victory.
