The Lucases had been in business just up the street in Dashwood for a year and had "an amaz- ing summer," according to Sheila. But she said they real- ized they needed some- thing for the winter months. With Dashwood lacking a place to eat at later in the evening, and Erich Freiter looking to sell at 165 Main Street, the Lucases purchased the property. Business has been excellent, said Sheila, with local people very supportive. "We have made many new friends." The 01' Bank is open Sunday through Wednesday from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Thursday to Saturday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. In the winter the busi- `Wagon wheel' rolling in Crediton By Pat Bolen TIMES -ADVOCATE STAFF CREDITON — "Everyone is happy to see it back," says Lorraine Major, owner of the Wagon Wheel Restaurant Buffet, formally Jed's Country Restaurant in Crediton. Almost everything on display is for sale, according to Sheila, "if the price is right, it's for sale." One item not for sale though is the Coca-Cola car out front. The Lucases were planning on changing the name when they moved, but decided not to because "everyone knows us, people are looking for The 01' Bank." The couple thanks Bob Fisher of Clinton for his help teaching them how to make pizza. They also thank the Optimists who put on a barbecue at the opening and Marilyn and Richard Hartung who supplied music. One of the inspirations the Lucases have in run- ning The 01 Bank, is that of Kaethe Freiter, deceased wife of Erich. "We feel honoured to open this store and carry on what she started," said Sheila.
