Pints Unlimited, owned by Les and Ann Wernham since 1993, won gold in the Pinot Noir category. Pints Unlimited's winning wine was 2003 vintage. Les Wernham said he's pleased about the gold medal, adding he likes to see how his wine stacks up against wines from other areas. He attributes the win to paying attention to detail and using high quality juice."It's the little things that make the difference," he said, adding things such as proper temperature, equipment and environmental control are important. In the past seven years, Pints Unlimited has won nine winemaking medals in the International Wine Competitions — two gold, five silver and two bronze.
