EXETER — Several burning objects were thrown at a
home on Thames Road in Exeter June 27. OPP say two
occupants heard a smash. They found an object behind
the home that broke upon impact. It had spilled causing
the flammable contents to burn. Another object had
been thrown onto a wooden patio. The occupants extin-
guished both fires. Through the course of their investi-
gation, officers found similar burned objects at the
home. The search continues for the person(s) responsi-
ble.

MUNICPALITY OF BLUEWATER
CLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR
BAYFIELD WATER SUPPLY STORAGE FACILITY
NOTICE OF STUDY COMMENCEMENT AND
PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE
The Municipality of Bluewater is carrying out a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process to
investigate options for constructing a water storage facility that will be connected to the Lakeshore water
pipeline in the Bayfield area. This project is identified in the Bayfield Service Area Water Supply Master
Plan and is required to maintain water pressures in the system, provide equalization and emergency
storage, and fire protection. The project is one of a number of projects that will facilitate the extension of
water service throughout Bayfield and adjacent areas, as outlined in the Master Plan. The Master Plan
was completed in the fall of 2004 and can be viewed at the municipal website:
http://www.town.bluewater.on.ca/
The water storage facility is being planned under Schedule B of the Class EA as an activity subject to a
screening process. The purpose of the screening process is to identify a location for the facility and define
any potential environmental impacts and mitigation. Public consultation is a component of the screening
process. At this time, a general study area for the proposed facility has been established (refer to the
accompanying key plan).
A Public Information Centre is planned to provide further information to the public on study
investigations, including potential facility locations, and to receive input from interested persons.

TIME: 7:00 p.m. (Open House)
7:30 p.m. (Presentation)
