(photo/submitted) Sharing power of faith in Saintsbury By Hazel Davis SAINTSBURY CORRESPONDENT SAINTSBURY — The community was shocked by the sudden death of cousin and friend Peter Ross Sovereign who passed away Tues., June 21 and funeral service from the C. Haskett and Son Funeral Home in Lucan on Fri., June 24. Sovereign leaves behind his wife Joyce, his family Ferlin and Julie, Leanne and Michael along with seven adoring grandchil- dren, mother-in-law Helen MacDonald, brother-in- law and sister -in-laws Hazel, Howard and Sandra. A large crowd of rela- tives and friends visited the funeral home to pay their respects to the family also attending the funeral service with officiant the Rev. Sue McCullough and son Ferlin giving the eulo- gy. Reception following interment at St. James Cemetery was held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Lucan. Our sincere sympa- thy goes out to the family. On Saturday evening St. Patrick's held the Service of Compline with Katie - Scarlett MacGillivray lead- ing the service and Hazel advertisers.... Hugh and Hazel along with sister and brother-in- law Joyce and Ralph Simpson enjoyed a day out on Monday visiting Southhampton and a number of towns along Lake Huron. Crystal Ellerington enjoyed a birthday cele- bration along with a num- ber of friends at a London restaurant on Friday evening, a surprise from husband Bryon. Happy birthday Crystal. On Sunday, Hugh and Hazel called on the Barkers at their cottage at St. Joseph's also visiting with their daughters Jean and Joan and granddaughter Janelle at the Beaune cot- tage and in Hensall visited with cousin Gladys Davis at Queensway Retirement Home.
