Exeter scouts hold awards ceremony
The 1st Exeter Scout Movement held its year end awards ceremony at the Exeter Youth Centre June 12.
Leaders of the movement are Bob Gehan, Craig Winbow, RickVanderlay, Jim Brintnell, Paul Timmerman, Doug
Upshall, Michaela Kelland, George Finch, Pawel Pauch,Tom Turner,Terry Chapman, Susan Kraftcheck, Peter
Darbishire,Arlene Barensten and Darryl Keys.The Beavers are Brandon Hannah, Joseph Scott, Kam Wallace,
Blake Mosurinjohn, Spencer Parkinson, Jared Welsh, Sam McEwan,Austen Buchanan,Alek Pauch, Craig Hannah,
Ben Turner, Nathan Finch and Noah Chapman.The Cubs are Josh Boyle, Evan Winbow, Michael Antaya,

EXETER — On June 12 at the Exeter Youth
Centre, the 1st Exeter Scout Movement held its year
end awards ceremony and barbecue.
Thirty three youth and 16 leaders participated.
The Beavers (whitetails) advancing to Cubs are
Blake Mosurinjohn, Joseph Scott, Jarred Welsh and
Braydon Hannah
The Cubs advancing to Scouts are Michael Antaya
and Amanda Kelland.
Antaya also received an award for the most
badges earned this year which was 22.
Kelland was the recipient of the Six Star recogni-
tion plaque and also earned every cub badge in the
program.
No one advanced in Scouts but badges were hand-
ed the members for their work during the year.
Although the venturer unit is small the dedication
and experience the young men have to offer.
The leaders were also recognized for their dedica-
tion to the Scout movement.
Long time service awards were presented to Bob
Gehan and Peter Darbishire for 10 years and Susan
Kraftcheck for 20 years of service.
Following the ceremony, family and friends partic-
ipated in the year end barbecue.
They are looking forward to seeing the youth in
the fall for another year of scouting fun in Exeter.

youth from 66 packs
were in attendance
with the theme being

crest for their camp
