Congratulations to Roxanne Regier and Andrew McLenaghan who were married June 11 in London at Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church. Dinner and reception was held at Museum London. The bride is the daughter of Pat and Evelyn Regier of RR 3, Zurich. Congratulations to Kelly Hoffman and Ryan Gilmore who were married at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Zurich on June 11. Kelly is the daughter of Jim and Donna Hoffman of Dashwood. Their dinner and recep- tion took place at Oakwood Inn, Grand Bend. Kelly's parents were also married at this same church. Her grandparents, Hubert and Marge Schilbe were also married at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 55 years ago on June 11. Hubert and Marge were surprised on Friday night when a limousine showed up to take them to the rehearsal dinner which was arranged by their children. Hubert and Marge are spending this week at Turnbulls Grove Trailer Park . Congratulations to Gordon Denomme and Kathy Blancher who were married at St. Patrick's Church in Dublin June 11. The groom is the son of Mary -Lou Denomme of Zurich. The reception and dinner was held in Exeter. Paul Lansbergen and Kristina Cowell were married at St. Boniface Church on Sunday afternoon, June 12 with family members and relatives attending. Paul is the son of Tony and Jane Lansbergen of Zurich. The couple will live in London. May we offer our sincere sympathy to the family and relatives of the late Adeline Denomme who passed away June 9. The funeral was held at St. Peter's Church, St. Joseph on June 13. 40th anniversary A lovely 40th anniversary celebration was held for the Blue Water Rest Home on June 12, outdoors under a big shady tent. Everyone present enjoyed the lively music of various groups. One was Joe Overholt and his band. The Lions Club were busy on the barbecue cooking ham- burgers and hot dogs. Members of the ladies auxiliary were serving the cake. There were several photo albums on display of the past years. The winner of a draw for a baby quilt, donated by the quilters' guild went to Pat Hendrick of RR 2, Grand Bend. The Evangelical Lutheran Women's group of St. Peter's Lutheran Church held their meeting on June 14 with a good turnout. Bob Krueger was a special guest and demonstrated the art of stained glass. He teaches classes in his shop and everyone present received an angel. Sun., June 19 in honour of Father's Day the Lutheran Church service will be held outdoors at the Black Bush School House followed by a potluck lunch and games. Bring your lawn chairs and sun hats. The fair board meeting is on Thurs., June 16 at the township hall at 8 p.m. All members are asked to attend and help plan the Zurich Fair to be held on July 22 to 24. Elimination draw and dance tickets are now available from Lions Club and fair board members as well as at Erb's Country Kitchen. Tickets are $10 and give you a chance to win up to $1,000 plus admission to the dance and a delicious lunch. Hurry and get your tickets. Harold and Doreen Dietrich recently spent four days up north at his sister's cottage, Dianne Becker at Little Pine Tree. Little Hailey Marie Burk, daughter of Amy and Rob of Barrie, was baptized at St. Boniface Church recently with godparents being Carolyn Rau and Corey Wildfong. A family get together was held afterwards at the home of Joe and Carolyn with a barbecue supper. A bridal shower was held recently for Lesley DeRooy fiancee of Corey Wildfong at St. Boniface Parish Hall given by the family of Susan Wildfong with several rela- tives attending. The couple are being married in July. Sebastian Ihrig infant son of Frank and Elizabeth Ihrig was baptized at St. Boniface Church recently with a celebration held at their home, Hessenland. Joe and Martha Risi spent the weekend away camping in Kincardine at a trailer park. Memorial Mass Zurich friends of the late Gary Prince, who passed away suddenly March 30 in Korea, will be having a memorial Mass at St. Boniface Church on Sat., June 25 at 7 p.m. Prince lived in Zurich for about 20 years and was a teacher at St. Boniface School for several years. Everyone is welcome to come out. Summer fitness classes are being held June, July and August in Zurich on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 8-9 a.m. and Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-8 p.m. All ages and students are welcome.
