year's fair ambassador are four

More Exeter
break-ins
EXETER — Huron OPP are investigat-
ing three more Exeter break-ins. On the
night of May 27, a garage on Carling
Street was entered when someone
crawled through a window. A quantity of
alcohol/tobacco products and a CTC
Unisex bicycle with child carrier on the
back were removed.
On May 31 an alert citizen observed
three youths walking through several
backyards before entering a garage off
Mill Street. The youths, between 13 and
15 years -old, took cigarettes and fled
before police arrived.
On June 4 a driver for Hostess reported
a truck break-in. The vehicle was parked
near Thames Road. The padlock was cut
off and the rear compartment was
entered. A small quantity of chips were
removed.

SOME RECIPES BARE REPEATING! THE FOLLOWING MARINADE
IS THE BEST MARINADE AROUND ESPECIALLY FOR STEAK AND
ALTHOUGH I FEATURED IT LAST YEAR AND MANY OF YOU
HAVE TRIED IT, IT DESERVES REPEATING FOR THE NEW
READERS OF THE COLUMN. I DOUBLE THE RECIPE FOR 8
STEAKS. WE USE IT WITH GREAT SUCCESS FOR PORK CHOPS
AND CHICKEN. I OFTEN SERVE UP A FRESH PINEAPPLE
CHUTNEY WITH PORK. WATCH FOR THE RECIPE COMING UP
SOON!
BEST MARINADE EVER
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup red vine vinegar
3 tbsp white vinegar
2 tbsp cooking oil
2 tbsp white sugar
1/2 tsp ginger
1-2 garlic cloves minced or 1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Mix all ingredients together and set aside a small bit for your
final basting on the BBQ. (You will notice that it is not
recommended to use the marinade that the raw meat has
been sitting in as you can get sick if for some reason the
marinade is not cooked enough in the end -another option is
to heat the raw meat marinade in a small pot and cook for a
time and then use it to baste, you can even thicken it slightly
with cornstarch and water.) Put all remaining marinade in a
large ziploc bag with the meat and seal. Let sit for at least 4
hours and overnight is great if possible. Keep in refrigerator.
Remove meat and BBQ. AWESOME!
