Queensway residents await Hensall Fair
HENSALL - Queensway residents enjoyed their
Monday morning workout outdoors on the deck. The
fresh air and sunshine contributed to a great exercise
session that was followed by games and quizzes devel-
oped to stimulate the mind.
Several residents benefited from therapeutic massage
throughout the day with Lori Burt, RMT who is at
Queensway each Monday.
In the afternoon the Hensall United Church Women
provided assistance and prizes at bingo.
Tuesday morning, the breakfast group lingered over
eggs made to order with cheddar cheese, melon, toast,
coffee, tea and juice. The boarding house reach was in
evidence as everyone enjoyed the meal.
Julie Keagan, social worker chaired the family council
meeting Wednesday afternoon with a good attendance
of residents, family and friends. Euchre games facilitat-
ed by volunteer Marg Cole had several residents busy
also in the afternoon.
Coffee and Current Events group met Thursday morn-
ing to peruse the weekly and daily papers. The section
with excerpts from ten to 100 years ago is of great inter-
est to residents who often knew many of those men-
tioned. Music therapist, Lisa Stewart met with several
residents individually as well as her small group
Thursday, working her musical magic.
Friday morning following Fun and Fitness, the resident
food committee met to review the new summer menuss
giving their input and opinions. Adjustments will be
made based on their suggestions. In the evening, Andy
Rau and his friends provided musical entertainment in
the retirement residence lounge. Manicures, walks out-
doors and games completed the week.

Saturday they are inject-
ing $35 million into a pro-
gram to support new
research and development

Funding for the Canada -
Ontario Research and
Development (CORD) pro-
gram can be used for a
number of initiatives to
add value to farm produc-
tion, explore new process-
ing ventures and tap pre-
viously unused resources
of information or exper-
tise.
Bob Bedggood, chair of
the Agricultural Adaption
Council says, "This invest-
ment provides a timely
boost to move those ideas
from where people are
just thinking about them,
to the point where they're
putting the wheels in
motion, bringing them
closer to reality, and we
need more of that in this
province, and across the
country."
Details about the CORD
criteria and applications
are available at
www. adaptcouncil. org
Funds from the CORD
program are available
until March 31, 2008.

Plan 7-3-797 Stately Two -Level Bayed windows, gables and french doors give this family home a look of traditional elegance. The side -entry garage,
with two decorative widows facing the street, also adds to its visual appeal. Double front doors make a grand entrance from the covered veranda into a
two-storey foyer. Directly ahead, an angled staircase climbs to the bedroom level. To the right, is the formal living room with a bayed window, a sloping
ceiling and a gas fireplace with decorative windows above. The adjoining dining room has french doors that open to a rear patio and an alcove for a
buffet. A pocket door shuts off the kitchen when desired. At the other side of the foyer are the powder room and a study with a closet. A shod hall
leads to the laundry, which has access to the double garage. Coat closets in both this hall and the foyer provide ample space for storing outerwear.
A combined family room and kitchen spans most of the back of the main floor. A bayed breakfast nook is large enough to accommodate family dinners
and brightens the entire kitchen area with natural light. The family room has doors opening to the patio, a perfect spot for dining alfresco in summer.
Avid cooks will enjoy the kitchen's large work island; the double sinks under a window that faces the back garden and generous counter tops and
cupboards. Three large bedrooms are found upstairs. The master suite has an inviting bayed sitting area and a five -piece ensuite. A walk-in closet is
conveniently separated from the bathroom. The children's bedrooms are apart from each other and share the home's third bathroom.
