Plan
Competition
for high
school
students
EXETER — The Huron
Small Business Enterprise
Centre is sponsoring its
third Business Plan
Competition for high
school students.
The deadline has been
extended to June 6, with
the contest open to all
high school students. Five
cash prizes (ranging from
$100 to $500) are avail-
able.
This is an opportunity
for all enterprising stu-
dents.
Students do not have to
actively develop the busi-
ness, they simply need to
prepare and submit a for-
mal business plan. The
plans can be developed as
partnerships or sole pro-
prietorships.
Information is available
about developing a busi-
ness plan from Huron
County business consul-
tant Alison Lobb at (519)
527-0305.
A panel of community
partners will review the
submissions and deter-
mine the award winners
in mid-June.
The awards banquet for
the participants, their
parents, teachers and
supporters will be held in
the fall.
Partners in the event,
along with the Ministry of
Economic Development
and Trade, are the Huron
Business Development
Corporation, the County
of Huron and several
local firms.
