Cuddle Bears offer comfort

ZURICH — The
Alzheimer Society of
Huron County wants to
get the word out about
its Cuddle Bear pro-
gram.
When a person is
affected by Alzheimer's
disease or another
dementia, they often
feel isolated, partly
because they are unable
to remember who the
important people are in
their lives.
A bear offers an indi-
vidual a constant com-
panion that is warm,
soft and familiar. The
stuffed animal is also
good for allowing a
recipient to experience
both tactile and sensory

GRAND BEND — The new season has
yet to begin and already more than
100,000 tickets have been sold for per-
formances at five Ontario theatres oper-
ated by Drayton Entertainment including
Huron Country Playhouse and Playhouse
II in Grand Bend.
"We are thrilled with the early
response to this year's playbill", says
Artistic Director Alex Mustakas. "We
have put together a very ambitious line-
up and it is terrific to see that it has been
embraced not only by theatregoers, but
the entire community."
Mustakas says, "People are looking for
a high-calibre theatre experience that is
immensely enjoyable, but also one that is
affordable and easily accessible."
Some of the productions on the Grand
Bend playbill include: Beauty and the
Beast, Lost in Yonkers, Give My Regards
to Broadway and The World Goes
'Round.
