Ronald Douglas Kirk, 25, of London and Donald Wayne Earhart, 30, of no fixed address, are expected to appear in Goderich court by Friday. Police say both men are in custody on unrelated matters in other areas. Sullivan had been report- ed missing to the London Police Service Oct. 19, 2004. In late Jan. 2005, Huron OPP joined the investigation after learning their jurisdiction was part of the London police probe. Sullivan's remains were discovered April 26 in a private wood lot in Usborne. The property is located on the south side of Park Road between McTaggart and Elimville Lines. An autopsy April 29 found injuries police say were suspicious in nature. The cause of death is not being released Police say investigati from over they're urg anyone wi informatio the disapp and murde Sullivan, to contact H OPP or Crimestop but police confirm a weapon was used. The investigation also found Sullivan was murdered in Huron County but police won't confirm if it happened in the same location where his remains were found. Detective Inspector Ian Maule is head- ing the OPP investigation. He says, "Mr. Sullivan did know both Mr. Kirk and Mr Earhart. They were mutual acquaintances through the crowd they were involved with and shared interests." Maule says one specific tip did not lead police to Sullivan's remains. It was several pieces of information that did. He adds, "The loca- tion of the body substanti- ates information we were given and the results of the post mortem and identifying the body and determining the cause of death has resulted in the charges." The maximum sentence for a first degree murder conviction is life impris- onment. Police say their investigation is far from over and they're urging anyone with information about the disappear- ance and murder of Sullivan, to contact Huron OPP or Crimestoppers. their on is far and ing th n about earance r of uron pers. Helping out Saturday, from left, were volunteer Deb Hakkers and Huron OPP Const. Joanna Van Mierlo, who made sure Dean and Jared Skonieczny of Lucan were buckled up properly. Josee Cayer of the Health Unit reported that 27 seat checks were made at Eric Campbell on the week- end, with 80 per cent of them installed incorrectly.
