EXETER — It was a
rollercoaster season for
Adam Hartman who
started the year with
the Exeter Hawks and
finished as part of the
Mid -Western Junior B
league champion
Listowel Cyclones.
After joining the
Cyclones, Hartman saw
the team slip from first
to seventh before the
Cyclones regrouped for
their
playoff
run.

games,

Cyclones
were
unable
to advance to the OHA
Junior B final.
The Cyclones had an
0-3 record in the
Sutherland Cup against
Chatham and Thorold.
Hartman said at the
beginning of the season
he planned to stay with
the Hawks for the year,
hoping to help the team
to another champi-
onship.
But after being seen
by the Cyclones general
manager Neil McKeown
at a game in Parkhill,
Hartman was asked by
Hawks general manager
John Rasenberg if he
wanted to practice with
the Cyclones and
Hartman soon signed
with the team.
Describing himself as
a defensive defence -
man, Hartman said it
was a huge adjustment
moving up to Junior B.
"You have to move the
puck a lot quicker. In
Junior D you have a lit-
tle time to think about
your first option. This
kind of hockey you have
to go with your first
option or there's not
going to be another
one."
Hartman said with the
Cyclone's first playoff
game, the players could

Although his plans for
next season aren't defi-
nite, Hartman said he
plans to skate with the
Cyclones and hopefully
play forthem.
"I am pretty thankful
for John Rasenberg for
giving me the opportu-
nity, because he didn't
have to do that. I'm
really grateful for that,"
said Hartman.
