(photo/submitted) cooking with memories BY DEBBY WAGLER I LIKE FAST, EASY AND TASTY SIDE DISHES THAT CAN ACCOMPANY A MEAT. RICE IS ONE OF THOSE THINGS WE CAN PREPARE QUICKLY AND FORGET ABOUT ONCE IT IS ON ITS WAY. THE FOLLOWING RECIPE CAME FROM MY SPLATTERED AND TORN MARY MOORE COOKBOOK THAT I HAVE USED SO MANY TIMES. THE RICE IS PREPARED IN THE OVEN AND IS VERY NICELY SEASONED. BAKED HERBED RICE 1 cup raw long grain rice 2 1/2 cup boiling water 2 chicken bouillon flavour packs 3/4 tsp salt 2 tsp chopped chives 2 tsp chopped parsley Mix the seasonings in with the water and pour over measured rice that has been put into a buttered casserole dish(med- large) with a snug -fitting cover. Stir. Cover and bake I hour at 350 deg. F. without removing lid. Talk about easy and good! Enjoy. Nurse practitioner moving to Hensall By Pat Bolen TIMES -ADVOCATE STAFFP ZURICH — The nurse Practitioner program in Zurich is being transferred to Hensall, according to Dan Steinwald, executive director of the Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre (GBACHC). The date of the move will be decided by the Health Centre board of directors tonight (Wednesday). Steinwald said the GBACHC had been expecting to receive funding to carry on the program, but had not been given any. "It will reduce our costs by about $90,000 a year," said Steinwald. This decision has been discussed for the past year, said Steinwald, but was postponed at the request of the municipality and Huron -Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell. "We were anticipating funding would be available but that's not the case. We're just acting on concerns that were first expressed last year," said Steinwald. rov >l CJ'YYS: Cassandra Kerslake welcomes new clients Get a Fresh New Look for Spring!
