The Introit was sung, and the Passing of the Feast took place. Williams gave greetings and the announcements. Sharon Lynn gave a minute for council. She stat- ed the strawberry supper would be held Sun., June 12 at the South Huron Rec Centre, Exeter—advance tickets only. Corey Smith lit the Christ candle. Williams led in the Call to Worship responsively and the Gathering Prayer in unison. The gathering hymn, "We Meet You 0 Christ" was sung. The affirmation of our faith, "A New Creed" was read in unison. The children's hymn "The Church is Wherever" was sung. Williams told the story about pets and "Jesus Understands What We Need." The choir sang "He Did It All For Me" accompanied by organist Marilyn Vandenbussche. Psalm 116: 1-4, 12-19 was read responsively. Williams read Luke 24: 13-35 and the title of his message: "When doors close, windows open." Hymn of praise "Open My Eyes" was sung. Pat Ballantyne and Karen Etherington received the offering and were the greeters. The closing hymn "Abide With Me" was sung. Williams gave the Commissioning and pronounced the Benediction. Everyone sang "May the God Of Hope Go With Us" Announcements April 17: Foodgrains Service at Exeter UC, 10:30 a.m. Speaker: Brenda Mitchell from St. Marys who has been in Africa and will speak of her experiences. There will be no church service at Thames Road-Elimville. You can put your enve- lope on collection plate at Exeter UC. If you wish to sing in the choir for this service, practice is at 9:30 a.m. There will be a chili lunch following the service. April 24: The Exeter Odd Fellows Lodge No. 67 and Pride of Huron Rebekahs will be joining our service. Personals Quite a number of people from this area called at the Dinney Funeral Home in Exeter on Thursday to pay their respects to the late Bill Dickey who passed away recently. Sympathy is extended to his mother Innes Dickey, his wife Joyce and family. Police say a door leading into the business was forced open. Once inside two Lincoln stick welders, one Hougen magnetic drill and one Compact Presario hard drive from a computer sys- tem were taken. The prop- erty is valued at $4,800.
