The Jets doubled the Lancers 6-3 in game one April 8 on two goals each from Matt MacFarlane and Bill Byers and singles from Mark Phillips and Greg Henderson. Lucan Ilderton outshot Lucknow 33-30, with Marc Williams getting the win in net. Saturday night in Lucknow, it was a 1-1 tie after one period, with Craig Black getting the lone Jets goal. Lucknow took a 3-1 lead into the third period but the Jets stormed back on goals from Scott Phillips and Adam Thompson, who notched the tying goal with 40 seconds left and Lucan goalie Dave Riddell on the bench to force the overtime. Lucknow had its chance to win in the first minute of overtime, with a two on none break but couldn't beat Riddell. Turning the play around the other way, the Jets took advantage with Andy Marshall scoring the winner for the 2-0 lead in the series. The Jets again outshot Lucknow by a 38-28 mark. Sunday night back in Lucan, the game stayed close for the first half, but the Jets finally pulled away in the third period. Going into the third, the Jets were up 2-1 on goals from Adam Thompson and Mike Jaremchenko before taking control with five more goals. Marshall, Ben Dobbie, Bob Grant, Greg Henderson and Shaun Fairweather notched goals for the Jets to cap the 7-1 win. Williams was again in net for the win, as the Jets outshot Lucknow 36- 23. Jets general manager Rob Andrews said with the Lancers only going with three lines, they were being worn down by the four lines of Lucan Ilderton. He added the refereeing Sunday night was incon- sistent and took away any flow from the game. "It's almost as if they look at the other team and see they have a short bench and they say...they're already short guys, I'm not going to put them short." Andrews said the Jets will be looking to finish the series Friday night and not have to come back to Lucan Saturday Lucan rolled Ilderton Jet Ben Greig takes a spill Sunday night against Lucknow. The Jets over Lucknow 7-1 n game three of their series to take a 3-0 lead in their series.
