Port Stanley had just won their 'DD' OMHA championship and South Huron was the only team to beat them in Shamrock play all year. The coaching staff tired to emphasize team work all year and based on the overall record that was achieved. The Novice had an over- all record of 53 wins, eight losses and 10 ties and went undefeated in the Shamrock regular season with 20 wins and four ties. They outscored their opponents 311 to 98 and three of the losses were to eventual 'CC' OMHA champion Dresden in the playoffs. Coach Brian Horner said although there was defi- nite disappointment when the team lost to Dresden, the rebounded to beat St. Mary's, the OMHA 'BB' finalist, seven points to one in their Shamrock A semi- final. The novice were `B' champions at the Bill Batten tournament and 'A' champions at tournaments in Ingersoll and Listowel. They were also champi- ons at the Kincardine Regional Silverstick and 'A' finalists at the St. Clair Shores International Silverstick. The team is Drew Beckett, Tyler Edginton, Derek Elliott, Andrew Hodgert, Brock Horner, Cullen Mercer, Jeremy McCann, Nicole Pfaff, ben Vangerwen, Cole Willemsen and Brandan Willis. 5601- Annivejsa- CaII the Professionals at Weed Man Today For your FREE Healthy Lawn analysis! `Wed Maw TRUST THE PROFESSIONALS • Professionally Trained Personnel • Government Certified Products • Aeration, Custom Fertilizing • Weed, Insect & Crabgrass Controls • Merit Grub Control - 100% Guarantee!
