An information night on depression and mental ill- ness will be held at the Bluewater Community Complex in Zurich Sun., April 10 at 7 p.m. Speakers will be coun- selors from Homestead Christian Care. This evening is being spon- sored by all the four churches in the village and everyone is invited to attend. Josephine Denomme recently returned home after spending a week during the Easter holidays with her daughter Deb and Jim Gavan and Alison in Camlachie. Members of the Steckle family: Paul and Cathy, Brian and Bonnie and Cam and Cathy, all trav- elled to the states for the Easter weekend. They attended a relative's wed- ding in Mansfield, Ohio and Valerie Steckle was the flower girl. Randy and Mary -Ann Craner along with son, Kyle enjoyed going to Florida for ten days during the March break. Earl and Ruth Ann Flaxbard spent Easter in Ingersoll with family members at the home of Shirley and Ross Cooper. A memorial service was held for the late Brian Desjardine at South Huron District High School in Exeter March 30 with all the students attending. Beth and Joe Boyle of Grand Bend spent the past weekend attending a wed- ding in Dallas, Texas. St. Boniface and St. Peter's youth group enjoyed a fun evening of Glo in the Dark Bowling at the Town & Country Lanes in Zurich last week. St. Peter's Lutheran Church women are host- ing a special evening in their parish hall on Tues., April 19 at 7:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Carol Erb-Gingerich. She will tell of her many years living in Afghanistan. Grease St. Boniface drama club will be presenting a '50s Rock and Roll musical "Grease" in their gym Wed., April 13 to Fri., April 15 each evening at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for elemen- tary students at the door. The French club will be selling refreshments dur- ing the intermission. Everyone is welcome. Zurich Public School is putting on a mini -musical play called "Assignment Earth" Thurs., April 21 at 7 p.m. in their gym. There will be a volunteer appreciation night at the Zurich Mennonite Church Hall on Wed., April 20 at 7 p.m. which is being held by the Blue Water Rest Home. Those who have been invited are to let Patty know as soon as pos- sible at 236-4373. Ken and Martha Mungar of St. Joseph recently enjoyed a well-deserved rest for a week in the Dominican Republic. Paul and Joan Ducharme arrived back home safe and sound with nice tans from being away for the past three months in Largo Florida. Earl Flaxbard of Zurich is happy to announce the arrival of his great-grand- daughter, Kianna Mae Toriumi born on March 22 to proud parents Gillian and Ben in Kitchener. Baseball registration Baseball registration will be held at the Zurich Complex on Sat. April 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and again on Wed. April 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. Call Randy Craner 236-7107. St. Boniface and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Grade 2 students will be making their first commu- nion this Saturday and Sun. April 9 and 10 during Masses. St. Anne's High School in Clinton are putting on a musical play April 8 called "The Feast of Life." Awards banquet The Zurich Skating Club have finished their lessons for this season. They had a very nice carnival. All the skaters demonstrated what they had learned all winter. The year-end awards banquet and fami- ly potluck supper will be held on Sun., May 1, 4 p.m. at the Bluewater IRWIN PHY Complex in Zurich. Tickets are still on sale for the BX93 dance and elimination draw Sat., April 16 at the Zurich Complex sponsored by the Zurich Minor Athletic Association. Tickets are available at J & L Variety. The foot care clinic is Mon., April 11 at Maplewoods Apartments common room from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cost is $13 and bring your own towel.
