OPP say two youths were riding their bicycles on the sidewalk, off of Gidley Street, when they were approached from behind by a white Ford Explorer with four people inside. The two youths felt something hit them and saw a person inside the vehicle holding what appeared to be a gun. One victim was struck at least twice and heard more shots. The second was shot at several times before the vehicle continued down the street and disappeared. The victims were able to get the plate number and contacted police. The Explorer was later located at the owner's residence in South Huron Police say the weapon used in the assault was a fully automatic soft air gun that fires plastic BB's. Police learned it had been destroyed. As a result of the investigation a 16 year old male is charged with two counts of pointing a firearm, two counts of assault with a weapon and one count of pub- lic mischief.
