By Rhoda Rohde
THAMES ROAD CORRESPONDENT
THAMES ROAD — Rev.
Alun Thomas was in
charge of the Good Friday
evening church service.
The Easter Introit was
sung and passing of the
peace by people shaking
hands. Rev. Thomas gave
the welcome and the
announcements and led in
the call to worship. The
hymn, "Jesus Keep Me
Near the Cross" was sung.
Rev. Thomas led in the
prayer of confession and
pardon, affirmation of
faith in unison.
The choir sang "It Was
For Me" accompanied by
the organist Marilyn
Vandenbussche. Rev.
Thomas read the first les-

53:12. Bruce Delbridge
and Bill Rohde received
the offering and Delbridge
was the greeter. The choir
sang "Christ Carried Your
Cross" accompanied by
the organist. Everyone
sang the hymn, "There Is
A Green Hill Far Away".
Karen Etherington,
Sharon Passmore, Judith
Parker and Virginia
Warwick served commu-

responsively. Rev. Thomas
told in story form and
acted out Matthew 26:14-
29-30-75 and 27:66 which
was very well done.
Breakfast and church
service
Some 60 people partook
of the Easter breakfast
prepared by the worship
committee and spouses.
Dave Williams conduct-
ed the church service. An
Easter Introit was sung
and everyone shook
hands. Williams led in the
call to worship (which was
written by Rev. Richard
Bott of St. Marys United
Church) responsively. The
Resurrection Story was
narrated by Robin
McKnight and the rest of
the Sunday school mem-
bers performed in front of
a scene of the empty tomb.
The opening hymn
"Jesus Christ Is Risen
Today" was sung. Renee
Williams lit the candles
and she and her grandfa-
ther Dave Williams read
the Easter liturgy.
The choir sang
"Resurrection Day"
accompanied by the
organist Marilyn
Vandenbussche. Parts of
Psalm 118 were read
responsively. Williams
read from Acts 10:34-43
and the title of his easter
message was "From a
Different Perspective".
The hymn "Celebrate the
Easter Fullness" was
sung.
John and
Ola Batten received the
offering and were the
greeters. The closing
hymn: "The Day of
Resurrection". Williams
gave the commissioning
and pronounced the bene-
diction. Everyone sang the
closing Easter chorus.

Plan H5.3.639B Best Trends This functional three-bedroom home combines the best of design trends, old and new. The combined living room/dining
room makes an ideal space for entertaining large groups of family and friends. The kitchen and family rooms (joined together like a great room) make a
cheerful space for daily family activities. Sloped ceilings in both of these common areas add architectural interest and contribute to a feeling of openness
throughout the home. An archway from the dining room leads to the family room which features a corner gas fireplace and sliding glass doors to the
back yard patio. The adjoining kitchen has a boxed -out breakfast nook as well as a raised eating bar built into a work island. Plenty of cupboards and a
window over the double sinks in the kitchen are traditional kitchen design favorites. A short hall from the kitchen leads to the bedroom wing. Here, the
master suite offers a walk-in closet, a five -piece ensuite bathroom and access to a private back yard patio. Two additional bedrooms share the home's
main three-piece bathroom. A large den off the foyer has a built-in desk and a generous closet, making it a potential home office or guest room. Access
to the double garage is through a laundry room. The tidy exterior is finished with horizontal cedar
siding, decorative shingles and stone or brick trim below the windows. This home has 2,123
square feet of finished living space and an optional basement. It measures 55 feet wide and 56
feet deep. Plans for design H5 -3-639B are available for $606 (set of 5), $691(set of 8) and $745
for a super set of 10. B.C. residents add 7 % Prov. Sales Tax. Also add $20.00 for Priority charge
within B.C. or $40.00 outside of B.C. Please add 7% G.S.T. or 15% H.S.T. (where applicable) to
both the plan price and Priority charges. The NEW 37th Edition of the Home Plan Catalogue
containing over 300 plans is available for $13.50 (includes taxes, postage and handling). Make all
